Tsagveri Resort

According to the distribution of mineral waters, Georgia is home to many resorts, each located in diverse geographical and climatic zones. Among them, one of the most well-known is Tsagveri — a resort nestled within the mid-mountain climatic zone.

Tsagveri is part of the Borjomi–Bakuriani resort group and is located on the northern slope of the Trialeti Range, at an altitude of 1,020 to 1,052 meters above sea level, in the gorge of the Gujarula River. The surrounding mountain slopes are largely covered with coniferous forests.

The resort stands out for its unique climate, pure air, and naturally carbonated mineral waters, rich in iron, magnesium, calcium, and sodium. These minerals have proven health benefits, particularly in the prevention and rehabilitation of gastrointestinal conditions.

One of Tsagveri's natural treasures lies in its forests — it is here that the artesian springs emerge, naturally carbonated and flowing freely from underground. The water is then collected and bottled, becoming the natural mineral water known as Tsagveri.

Beyond the mineral water’s healing qualities, Tsagveri’s forests offer exceptionally clean and healthy air. The ideal time to visit for respiratory health is during May and June — the season when pine and fir trees bloom, releasing pollen that is considered a natural remedy for upper respiratory tract issues.

The area around Tsagveri is also rich in historical landmarks, including the scenic railway connecting Borjomi and Bakuriani, the bridge designed by Gustave Eiffel, and the Timotesubani Monastery. These anthropogenic elements blend seamlessly into the natural environment, creating the iconic landscapes that define Tsagveri — a place where history, architecture, and nature exist in perfect harmony.
